No matter your age, a straighter smile can improve your oral health and boost your self-confidence. Properly aligned teeth also reduce problems associated with:

  • Tooth decay
  • Abnormal wear/fractures
  • Headaches, migraines, and TMJ disorder
  • Speech impediments
  • Gum disease
  • Tooth replacement

At Dental Specialists Center in North Texas, Dr. Keith Anderson provides comprehensive orthodontics for all ages, including traditional braces, Damon, and Invisalign systems.

For many of our DFW orthodontic patients, traditional braces offer the most straightforward and affordable solution for their needs.

Start Treatment the Same Day

Your first appointment will be a consultation with imaging and dental impressions. Once we have all of the data necessary, our board-certified orthodontist will meet with you to discuss your concerns, goals, and specific oral health needs. This includes determining the best type of braces for your smile.

After your proposed treatment plan is ready, we’ll work with your insurance carrier to determine your benefits and provide you with an estimated breakdown of your coverage. To make your treatment as affordable as possible, we offer month-to-month in-house financing.

If traditional braces are right for you, we can put them on the very same day!

Tips to Remember

  • Caring for your smile while in braces is especially important to keep your mouth healthy and treatment progressing normally. Remember to eat softer foods or cut food up into smaller pieces (such as apples or steak,) rather than to bite directly into them. Sticky foods such as taffy or caramel can loosen orthodontic bonding, causing brackets to come off.
  • Clean around your braces thoroughly, taking care to brush along the gumlines, clean between the brackets with a tufted-end proxy-brush, and use a special aid to floss between teeth (a water flosser is also effective.)
  • Wear your orthodontic aids (such as rubber bands) as directed. Failing to do so can cause relapse or a delay in your treatment, requiring you to wear your braces longer. Also, keep your regular follow-up visits so that we can adjust your appliances in a timely manner.
